I tried to go hiking this morning only to get rained out, making all the dirt roads I tried to go down muddy and near impassable. So I decided to turn around before another breaking storm made them impossible to drive on.
Disappointed, I drowned (no pun intended) my sorrow with Marv's burger and fries in Enterprise.
P.S. I highly recommend Marv's in good weather or bad.
P.S.S Here is another unpublished beautiful winter hike to unnamed peak 5860 from 2013.

A longtime friend called yesterday asking if he could spend the night while passing through on his way home to Oklahoma. I was excited at the prospect of seeing him again that, of course, I said yes. After breakfast, he headed on his way, and I ran to a previously scheduled doctor’s appointment. It is monsoon season here in Southern Utah, and it was hot and muggy when I exited the doctor’s office. I promise I hike most Fridays, but for now, I’ll have to settle with another Backlog trip report.
