Here is a list of what I read this week. All the book title links refer to the Amazon website. Feel free to purchase if you choose; I do not participate in any affiliate links; therefore, I receive no remuneration for the referral. Unfortunately, all articles from the Wall Street Journal will require a subscription (sorry) for you to read. Any blog posts I cover have piqued my interest enough to include them for one reason or another.
I've decided to change the blog format, switching from a simple title, date, and author format to a description of what I found interesting about the article. I mentioned this change in my January 8, 2023, What I’m Reading blog.

The Supreme Court Leak by James Freeman. Jan 20, 2023 (WSJ). The statement by Marshal Gail A. Curley that she “did not believe that it was necessary to ask the Justices to sign sworn affidavits" leaves a gaping hole in an investigation that so far has turned up nothing.

NYSE Glitch Causes Erroneous Prices in Hundreds of Stocks by Alexander Osipovich. Jan 24, 2023 (WSJ). “A technical glitch at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday briefly caused wild price swings and a temporary trading freeze in stocks of major companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp., McDonald’s Corp., and Walmart Inc.” The number of “glitches” and “hacks” that occur worldwide in technology makes me wonder if we are reaching the tipping point of this particular technology cycle.

Jan 24, 2023 (WSJ). “After seeing the news about President Biden’s classified stash in Delaware, Mr. Pence hired outside counsel to go through his files…” If you are a politician now is the time to clean house while high profile names are getting the spotlight.
Strategies to Keep a Commonplace Book by Kevin Eagan. Jan 28, 2018 (Medium). I was curious as to what keeping a "commonplace book" entailed.
Don’t Write for Your Reader Daily by Christopher Grant. Aug 22, 2022 (Medium). I like the authors cynical nature about the "mantra for medium," i.e., 'Write Every Day' and 'Write for Your Reader.' Not true in either case.
