Here is a list of what I read this week. All articles from the Wall Street Journal will require a subscription (sorry); most blog posts are from writers that have piqued my interest for one reason or another.
Books
Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Removed.
I, Asimov: A Memoir by Isaac Asimov. Reading. 30% completed.
Lost in Time. by A.G. Riddle. Stalled reading in favor of Portals.
Portals. by Douglas E. Richards. Finished. Four-star review. I’ve generally enjoyed Mr. Richards's novels over the years, and Portals was no exception. I’ve complained in previous reviews that the author has gotten more dependent on copying his research notes which always seems to occur in a “meeting” or “discussion.” He said, “blah, blah,” and yes, have you thought about “blah, blah, and blah.” Insert climate change, energy, smartphone references, etc. The dialog makes one feel as if they are reading a textbook; however, so far, the storylines have made up the difference. So, I’ll keep reading new novels by Mr. Richards when released. For now.
